When traditional approaches haven't worked or costs 10x more, we provide different, creative, quick & cost effective solutions. 

We don’t focus on  the obvious solutions but things that have never been considered before. Things that were previously thought of as outside the realm of possibility. Although, we have our left side of the brain,  we are essentially right brain people in a left brain business. We focus on a few simple principles to ensure we deliver outside the box results:
  1. We don’t get bogged down by process: We have a structured approach to problem solving but we don’t let the process dominate our thinking. We are ultimately focused on making sure that complicated problems get solved in a creative & extremely cost effective way. If the process doesn't work, we go back to the drawing board to ensure that we are providing creative cost effective solutions.
  2. We work extremely hard to get diverse data sets: The challenger shuttle blew up because of an insular group think process. We have shown time & again that every additional data set or new signal is far more valuable in generating new insight than looking at the same data set in 10 different ways. We make significant investments in getting an innocuous piece of data stored in a remote corner  of an enterprise data warehouse or in building a web crawling infrastructure , to get more signals from the web.
  3. We don’t hide behind the math: “Beware of geeks bearing formulas” said Warren Buffett. Whatever fancy math we may use to do our work, the ultimate insight or solution has to make common (or uncommon?) sense. If the insights can be shown through a simple scatter plot, we don’t feel the need to communicate it via a complicated neural net model.
